Super-rich diet plan for Autistic kids

Autism is a disorder which does not allow the person's brain to work in a normal way. Point to be noted that the brain works but in a different way. Autism spectrum disorder is not a disability it is a different ability. The kids diagnosed with ASD can do wonders if taken good care of their diet and norture well.
 My son is also diagnosed with ASD so I thought that now let's take this as a challenge and give him the best diet which can help.
We all would have learnt about the gluten free and Casein free diet is recommended for kids but However it works well outside India but here it is very difficult to completely put them in Gluten free diet as this may miss their nutrition intake.
Let's see simple ways to avoid most of the Gluten in our daily life. 

Avoid Wheat Gluten is the protein mostly found in wheat so we avoid giving wheat included food like Chapatis and puris instead make a habit of South Indian food like Dosa, Idli. It's difficult for a North Indian family but no hurry we can make it slowly. My son loves puri but slowly I stopped giving him puri. Still if it is difficult we can get Gluten free aata from market. It's wheat free and mostly made out of jowar, soya and some healthy grams.

Make a nutritious South Indian food Now lets see what to include in the dosa batter. While grinding batter daily add 4 - 5almonds, one walnut and cashews or pistas. Intake of dry fruits like Almonds, cashews, pistas and flax seeds should be included in the diet as they are rich in Omega 3 fatty acids and Autism generally shows a deficiency of Omega 3 fatty acids. Once batter is ready add fine powder of Flax seeds, sesame seeds and pinch of turmeric. Make sure flax seeds are heated before it is blended to form a fine powder. This makes the dosas crispy and tasty. My son wants dosas to be always crispy and should be brown in colour. He often asks for 'Brown dosa' and wants it daily morning and evening. Most of the Autistic kids are hyperactive and naughty their food preferences are very particular. And once they like the food they will have this regularly. In this way we can make sure they will have a complete nutritious pack daily. Along with this preparation it's very important that we feed them with Love. In my next story I will also share more diet plans which has shown some healthy changes in my son.
